TRIO FERAL features three of the most in demand, forward thinking pop culture pillagers in New York City. Using modernistic beats, sub bass frequencies, confused robots and broken toys, this trio presents the finest in stank, improv and the unexpected.

 

BARNEY MCALL — KEYBOARDS

Pianist composer Barney McAll has lived in Brooklyn since 1995 and has been in great demand performing and touring with artists such as ; Gary Bartz, Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Dewey Redman, Roy Ayers and Kenny Garrett to name a few. Barney is also musical director for vocalist Sia and leads various ensembles including “Graft” music for two pianos, Vibraphone, Laptop and 16 voices. Barney also enjoys clown culture.

 

JONATHAN MARON — BASS

Bassist Jonathan Maron is known for his big sound, propulsive basslines and unique approach. He is a founding member of Groove Collective, with whom he’s recorded eight albums, travelled the world and earned a Grammy nomination for 2008’s ‘People People Music Music.’ As a sideman he has performed with a wide range of artists including Maxwell, Meshell Ndegeocello, Jewel and Tupac Shakur and can be heard on on over 200 records. Jonathan is deeply obsessed with strange basses, rare effects pedals and obscure funk videos.

 

BILL CAMBELL — DRUMS

Bill Campbell is a drummer, songwriter and producer who splits his time between LA, NY and Europe. As a sideman, Bill’s beats are in large demand on stage and in the studio. Artists he has worked with include Andrew Bird, Lauren Hill, Norah Jones, Robin McKelle, James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Charlie Hunter, Josh Mease (Lapland), Alan Hampton and Joel Frahm. Bill also plays table tennis, makes cartoons and is the leader of the international cult sensation known as Breastfist.
